If you are looking for a fun day out with the kids, I highly recommend Water Park & Theme Park: Adventure Park. There is so much to do, including a ferris wheel, giant swing, cars that the kids can drive, carousel, rollercoaster, paddle boats, mini golf and even archery! The day we went, the Mik Maks performed and Harvey loved it!
On top of all that, there is multiple water parks appropriate for different ages, as well as water slides from a not-so-daring level right up to a thrill-seekers level. The lazy river is a must for all, even Harvey had a lovely time ‘lazing’ around the meandering river. The Gold Rush Rapids and Wild West Canyon were water slides with just enough thrill to make them enthralling but not so much that they were scary. A highlight of the day was the Tornado, Victoria’s biggest and longest water slide. Sitting at 24m high and 205m long, the Tornado is for the dare devils, although I braved it and whilst scary, it was lots of fun! I was too nervous to try out Victoria’s largest 6 lane Aqua Racer, but it didn’t stop the kids! They raced down and loved it!
We based ourselves in one of the Cabanas. With a fridge, TV, lounge chairs, safe and views of the lazy river and Aqua Racer it really made the day much easier with the kids. Harvey was able to have a nap in there while Steve watched the cricket and we had a convenient meeting point and place to leave our belongings safely.
Our time flew while we were there and despite arriving at 10.30, we stayed until close at 5pm and could have stayed longer! There are many cafes and food outlets and we enjoyed fish and chips, hot dogs, burgers and more. Only about an hour’s drive from Melbourne, it is a fun day, full of adventure, that you and your kids are sure to remember.
